The Youth Leadership Institute is now recruiting Youth Advocate Interns for our Tobacco Use Reduction Force (TURF) Program! TURF is committed to protecting the city’s health by reducing the impact of tobacco across SF, especially marginalized communities. In partnership with youth leaders and community leaders, TURF mobilizes SF residents and advocates for changes in tobacco laws and regulations.
We’re looking for young people 16-24 who are interested in tobacco prevention, learning community organizing skills, as well as how to work on a policy campaign. It’s a 20-month commitment, they meet once a week, and get paid $2,400 for their participation.
